2008-2009 MARINES' MEMORIAL ASSOCIATION'S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Marines' Memorial Association Scholarship Program sponsors annual scholarships to recognize qualifying students who have demonstrated scholastic aptitude, community involvement and civic spirit. We also consider the applicants financial needs.
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce its new scholarship programs for academic year 2008-2009.
Last year, as in 2006, we received more applications for our Marines' Memorial Association Scholarships than ever before. This is due primarily to adding Members' grandchildren to our list of eligible applicants. To reiterate: Eligible applicants include all Association Members and Member dependents, plus grandchildren of Members who are graduating high school seniors or enrolled in institutions of higher education. All eligible are invited to apply. We encourage our Members to spread the word on the availability of these scholarships. We also are pleased to announce that because of generous Member donations, we have increased the number of scholarships from ten last year, to sixteen this year.
