Tribute Wall

The Marines’ Memorial Association’s Development Program’s main purpose is to continue providing valuable support and services in a number of key areas in keeping with the Association’s mission:

  • Commemorate the valor and sacrifices of the military Veterans of the United States.

  • Educate the public on the military’s sacrifices.

  • Provide a service to the ‘currently serving’ so that they have the facilities to gather, socialize and have social and physical recreation opportunities.

Commemorate

Commemorating the many accomplishments of our military’s past and present. The Marines’ Memorial Association is proud of sponsoring many commemorative programs such as the “Guadalcanal,” “Battle of Midway,” and “Iwo Jima” commemorations, and its annual Memorial Day service and luncheon which is extended without charge to any Veteran.

Educate

Educating the public of the many sacrafices of our ‘currently serving’ as well as Veterans and their families, the Marines’ Memorial Association sponsors the George Shultz Lecture Series; monthly “Meet the Author” forums; historical displays in the General Ames Library and Museum; and many co-sponsored events with both the World Affairs Council of Northern California and the Commonwealth Club of California.

Service

Many services are provided to our currently serving Military and Veterans including scholarship programs, social gatherings, care packages and visits to Veterans homes and hospitals to provide aid and assistance. In addition, the Association works on a continuing basis with the Blue Star Moms, the Gold Star Parents and the Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund to assist them with their valuable work.
